    What You'll Do

    The Asset Analyst is trained to become a specialist and support the sale and transfer of a CTR Store business by contributing to the asset valuation process. To the extent that a consistent and fair value of fixed assets for the store is provided to both Incoming and Outgoing Dealers. This role is responsible for collaborating to deliver an accurate count, invoice reconciliation, depreciation, and capture of all store owned assets. This work may require the coordination of 3rd party, peer and their own data and information to create a comprehensive asset listing for the store project.

  • Identify assets appropriately by type and ascertain the appropriate depreciation category for each one.
  • Reconcile the store invoice for each asset to precise physical quantities and appraise the value of any assets lacking supporting pricing documentation.
  • Collaborate with Store staff teams to validating the characteristics of the assets including, location, use, quality.
  • Assemble the resulting count data via the asset management software (Worthit) into a full asset listing in accordance with changeover standard criteria.
  • Use tools provided to compare assets to a previous changeover and be able to reconcile the result into old, new, missing, etc. asset categories.
  • Provide reporting for the Business Consultant to use when reviewing assets with the Dealer. Coordinate 3rd Party and Store staff asset count data and information, confirm accuracy, report on rework required and compile data into asset list.
  • Prepare financial documentation related to assets to inform the finalization process, highlighting any anomalies and present to Manager.
  • Continuous identification and completion of process improvements to increase efficiency, consistency, accuracy and quality of work.
  • What You Bring

  • Post secondary education in Finance, Commerce or Business related field of study.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, notably Microsoft Excel
  • Experience executing Asset Listings an asset
  • Experience working in a CT Store environment an asset
  • Problem solver with the ability to analyze and prioritize to meet business objectives
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel is involved in this role to a maximum of 40 weeks per year across Canada
