Description

The Inside Sales Rep (ISR) is responsible all counter/inside sales transactions, greeting customers as first point of contact, taking orders, assisting customers with queries and provide solutions through various products and services we offer. As a ISR, you will possess excellent product knowledge to be able to cross-sell and provide valuable solutions to the customer's needs. Additionally, as ISR, you will follow up on orders to prevent delay and frustration, update product inventory as required, and ensue each customer receives a positive experience.

The ISR must skillfully blend sound listening skills, customer centric focus, and knowledge about various products to provide the right solutions for the customers.

It is imperative ISR acts with poise, pride and integrity while representing the company at all times.

The specific job duties for this role are broad, and encompass sales, inventory management and relationship management duties:

• Greets customers with a positive attitude and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or service looking to purchase

• Answers customer questions regarding products and pricing via phone and/or in person

• Ensure customer's needs are fulfilled and offers value added solutions

• Identifies new sales and up-selling opportunities, communicates product information, benefits, and warranty information as required to customers

• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships

• Arrange deliveries, and follow up with customers regarding order status

• Prepare sales orders and accepts payment and/or invoice account

• Provide product pricing by consulting with suppliers and management

• Assist in display of merchandise

• Source and obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers and prepare purchase orders as per customer's needs

• Calculate costs on sales orders and forward backorders to the Purchasing Manager

• Monitors inventory levels, as materials, equipment and stock are issued/sold to clients by utilizing the inventory system

• Assists in reconciling physical inventory with inventory system quantities

Education

• High school diploma and/or GED or equivalent education

Experience

• 1+ years of working for industrial equipment and supplies field or related knowledge

Special Requirements/Training

• A valid NB Driver's License

Working Conditions

• Most job duties will be completed in a store / warehouse setting

• Monday to Friday work week, day-time hours, 40 hours a week

Physical Requirements

• On feet most of the day

• Occasional light duty lifting may be required
