Reporting to the Director, Registries & Registrar, Vital Statistics, the position is responsible for:

  • Negotiating service level agreements and data sharing agreements with a variety of partners and stakeholders while ensuring legislative requirements and restrictions are documented, communicated, understood and maintained.
  • Represent the branch on a number of federal/provincial working groups to ensure any changes to other jurisdictional operational processes/policies/legislation that could impact the branch are understood, communicated internally, and addressed as required.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills to identify options, alternatives, and opportunities for process and/or program changes and when interpreting legal opinions including court decisions/documents.
  • Demonstrate superior interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate complex issues with varied audiences, strong written communication, active listening and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.


Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a post-secondary degree in Business or Public Administration and/or extensive experience in a similar role.

A minimum of 3 years managerial experience is required. Experience with health sector related business knowledge would be considered an asset.

Please note this position is required to be in-office Monday - Friday.
