North American Trade Schools is seeking Supply Chain Management program instructor to join our team at our CCG Online campus in ON.

Position Summary


Reporting to the Director of Education Operations, the Supply Chain Management program instructor is responsible for course delivery and student evaluation as set out in the program curriculum.

This responsibility includes using prepared instructional resources, planning additional student learning presentations and maintaining consistent engagement with students in order to facilitate the achievement and assessment of the course learning outcomes.

The instructor assists in duties that support the operation of the program and contributes positively to the program by demonstrating commitment, cooperation, flexibility and professional and appropriate behavior in line with the institution's core values.


Essential Functions

  • Deliver the curriculum through lecture, presentation, and use of a learning management software
  • Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and Learning Management Software (LMS) as needed
  • Instruct curriculum in both a live, virtual classroom and asynchronous, LMS classroom environments
  • Take daily attendance & follow up to ensure retention goals are met
  • Record and submit grades to the appropriate personnel/software in a timely manner
  • Be available for student support which is held outside of class times
  • Participate in new student orientations as required
  • Attend all required faculty/staff meetings and graduation ceremonies
  • Stay current on industry trends and maintain certification or licensure in the related field
  • Exhibit professional and model behavior while at the campus or representing the school in the community
  • Treat all staff and students equally with respect free from bias or discrimination
  • Create and maintain an organized lesson plan for live sessions and work area
  • Manage conflict between students through behavioral observation and early intervention
  • Keep students and academic services up to date by introducing new content, news, and updates
  • Maintain communication with all departments
  • Conduct employer visits, field trips and guest speakers as requested
  • Stay in touch with alumni to support Career Services as requested
  • Work with students that may require accommodations
  • Continue professional development within the industry you are instructing
  • Other duties as requested by the Campus Director and/or Director of Education Operations

Position Requirements


48 months of work or teaching experience in the vocation, acquired within the preceding 10 years, or a combination of the two.

OR

24 months of work or teaching experience in the vocation, acquired within the preceding 10 years, or a combination of the two and one of the following:

  • Hold a Bachelor Degree from a Canadian university or an equivalent degree
  • A graduate of a College of Applied Arts and Technology or equivalent
  • A graduate of a registered PCC or equivalent
  • Hold a Certificate of Qualification under the Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009 or equivalent.
Required to provide two letters of reference from individuals of no relation verifying the work/teaching experience in the discipline of which you are applying

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with online learning systems (such as Canvas, Zoom and/or other similar/related systems) is ideal, but training will also be provided.

Adult education training and experience with Private Career Colleges is preferred.


Class Times

  • Synchronous instruction using Zoom: 4 hours/week (Normally Thursdays from 6:00 10:00 PM). Nights may change over time.
  • Must be available to support students and answer questions within 24 hours and have set online office hours of availability.
