Detention Guard Job Opportunity

We are seeking casual on-call detention guards to work with us at the RCMP detachment in Merritt, BC.

Job Summary:

• Monitor the safety and well-being of persons in custody under the direction of an RCMP member.
• Perform duties such as organizing meals, recording prisoner activity, and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of cells.

• Must be 19 years or older.
• Hold a valid Basic First Aid Certificate (Occupational First Aid level 1) or equivalent. Ability to obtain certificate prior to being hired if needed.
• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
