Position Objective

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Provide financial leadership on a major project while responsible for recording daytoday financial activity including, general ledger activity for Financial Statement creation and monthly reconciliations
  • Responsible for entering all projectrelated information into the accounting system to ensure timely and accurate job cost information. This includes owner and subcontractor change orders, owner billings, budget transfers, subcontractor pay requirements and project invoices.
  • Managing the general accounting for an offsite, satellite office
  • Work with across all Project/Operations/Engineering teams to understand project costs
  • Continuously evaluate existing financial processes and workflows to identify areas of improvements
  • Works closely with the Project Managers in preparing and maintaining project budgets
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts
  • Responsible for monthend closing and reporting, including bank reconciliations
  • Responsible for preparing cash flow/revenue projections
  • Prepares and analyzes operating and financial reports on a monthly basis
  • Assists the Project Managers in preparing progress invoices, change order preparation, and subcontractor management
  • Strong knowledge in Accounts Payable & Account Receivable
  • Process all project invoices
  • Track and manage holdback
  • Create and submit government reports
  • Report to management on available funding for projects
  • Use accounting system for Project setups, account creation, budget updates
  • Support and assist with yearend close
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor/College degree in finance or accounting
  • Strong Knowledge in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Working knowledge of percentageofcompletion accounting for construction contracts is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill

Salary:
From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
  • Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
