    Purpose

    Contributes to the overall success of the Systemized Team within Dynamic Mutual Funds in Montreal, Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

    Accountabilities

    • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
    • The Role of the VP, Systemized Solutions (VPSS) is to facilitate the Investment Management Workshop.
    • The Investment Management Workshop (IMW) is a series 6 meetings designed to achieve 3 objectives.
      • Analyze the advisor's current Business Structure and Investment Management Process (IMP);
      • Design a customized Investment Management Matrix (IMM)
      • Create a comprehensive Transition Strategy (TS)
    • Within this Role the VPSS has 3 primary responsibilities:
      • Prospecting
      • Facilitation
      • Administration
    • Prospecting: The VPSS
      • is responsible for enrolling 54 advisors per year into the program
      • Will arrange one-on-one, group and/or branch meetings with advisors to promote the IMW
      • Will work closely with the Dynamic National Sales Team, Dynamic National Accounts Team, and other Business Partners to ensure that enrollment levels are kept at the required level
      • Will actively pursue referrals from existing and past participants in the program to ensure that enrollment levels are kept at the required level
    • Facilitation: The VPSS
      • Must have a comprehensive understanding of the investment management and portfolio construction process;
      • Must have a comprehensive understanding of Dynamic's programs and products
      • The VPSS will facilitate the Investment Management Workshop according to the 6 meeting process as detailed in the IMW Binder
        1. The Introductory Meeting
        2. The Discovery Meeting
        3. The BluePrint Meeting
        4. The Construction Meeting
        5. The Analytics Meeting
        6. The Review Meeting
    • The VPSS will conduct each meeting on a weekly or biweekly basis
    • Submit the completed mandate to the VP Sales Development and Systemized Solutions for review and final approval
    • Ensure Advisors are operating within expected Sales Targets upon completion of the IMW
    • Administration: The VPSS is required to
      • Update the weekly Activity & Mandate Tracking Report;
      • Submit completed mandates in a timely and accurate manner ;
      • Submit expenses in a timely and accurate manner;
      • Operate territory within budget;
      • Actively participate in Systemized Solutions Team calls, providing feedback, articulating objections and suggesting enhancements to the IMW;
      • Participate in special projects when required

      • IE: their fiduciary and regulatory responsibilities
    • Understand the 3 primary roles of the Financial Advisor:
      • Financial Advisor
      • Investment Manager
      • Small Business Owner
    • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Portfolio Construction & Investment Management Process; including such topics as:
      • Assessing client objectives
      • Asset Allocation & Diversification
      • Risk Management Tools & Techniques; and
      • Modern Portfolio Theory

    Education and Experience

    • CFA or CIMA is required;
    • BA, Commerce, Finance or Business Administration and/or equivalent years of experience;
    • 3- 5 years experience in the financial industry;
    • Minimum of 2+ years of Sales experience required;
    • Completion of CSC or IFIC certification or previous sales experience in related fields;
    • Record of progression into roles with increasing responsibility within the financial services industry;
    • Intermediate to Advanced level knowledge of MS Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Powerpoint & Outlook).
