General Accounting, Analyst

Laval (4204 Industrial Blvd., Laval)

Hybrid mode:3 days at the Laval office and 2 days remotely

Type of employment:
Temporary 1 year, full time (37,5 hours)

THE ROLE

Reporting to the General Accounting and Payroll Supervisor, as part of the Global Shared Services team, the Accounting Analyst will provide various period-end and quarter-end analysis.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Prepare various periodend and quarterend documents for analysis purposes;
Analyze and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations using the Blackline tool;
Analyze prepaid expenses and other types of expenditure: various taxes (property, school), maintenance contracts, etc.
Perform bank reconciliations;
Prepare periodic entries;
Participate in the continuous improvement of the tools used in this position as well as in the improvement of procedures;
Accounting for deposits;
Execute preauthorized payments from franchisees;
Invoice certain fees to external partners;
All other related tasks

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting OR equivalent experience

Experiences:

Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience

Knowledge and skills

Excellent knowledge of MS Excel ;
Knowledge of the complete accounting cycle;
Analytical mindset;
Concern for quality work, autonomy and initiative;
Ability to manage priorities while respecting deadlines;
Ability to work in a team and to communicate

Language skills

Bilingual (French and English).
