Mountain Home Services is searching for on-call Snow Removal Technicians in Vernon to join us for the winter season this year. We are collecting resumes in anticipation of the snow falling, the start date will be dependent on the weather (usually ~Nov 1 - ~Mar 1). We are a year-round full-service landscaping company, so there would be potential to stay on for summer work as well.

We will be running three 8 hour "on-call" shifts from 12:00 midnight to 8:00am, 8:00am to 4:00pm, and 4:00pm to 12:00 midnight each day.

Core Staff:
Available to work 3-5 8 hour shifts a week. Must sign up to be on-call/available for 7 full timeslots minimum.

This would be ideal for someone who has open availability for a certain shift consistently throughout the week, and can commit to working the full duration of the 8 hour shift at least 3x per week.

Part-time Staff:Available for 1 or 2, 8 hour shifts a week, or only available for half shifts (minimum 4 hours per shift, start/end time can vary), must sign up to be on-call/available for at least 2 full 8 hour time slots per week, or 4 time slots if you are only available for half shifts.

If you sign up to be "available" for a certain time slots each week, this does not mean that you will be asked to work every shift you've said you are available.

We will take into consideration when you worked last and how many hours you've already accumulated that week, and how many hours you've specified you're looking for each week.

$23.00-$25.00/hour.

Duties will include:

Removing snow from properties using a shovel or potentially other machinery (dependent on skill and interest)
Deicing/salting sidewalks and walkways
Maintaining a clean and safe job site
Being available when you say you will be/responding to call outs. This position and the shifts provided solely depends on the weather, so this is a must.

We require that you have the following:

Have a reliable vehicle and a cell phone
Provide a clean drivers abstract and criminal record check.
Proper winter clothing/boots
Able to work outdoors in winter weather conditions
Physically fit
Able to work in a team/take direction or work independently
