Your Role on our Team:

Reporting to the Team Lead - Master Data, the primary responsibilities of the Contract and Master Data Specialist is to manage contracts, analyze costs, reconcile accounts and prepare status and summary reports.

This position is also responsible for supporting existing and new vendor management activities (including preparing for contract renewals) and providing sound recommendations.


In this role, you will:


  • Contract and procurement document management. Ensure all contracts and procurement relevant document are received, accurate and properly processed
  • Analyze contract and procurement data including cost and terms to help to improve performance, find efficiencies and manage suppliers
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors; liaise on a regular basis
  • Provide support and recommendations during negotiations on price, delivery, and terms
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather, define and document processes; suggest areas for improvement
  • Develop, maintain and enforce relevant corporate policies
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

We would like you to have:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree, preferably with an accounting background
  • At least 3 years working with Yardi, NewStar or an equivalent ERP
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in order to manage multiple requests and to work independently with little or no direct supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and other departments; this includes excellent communication, interpersonal and problemsolving skills
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail; this includes evaluating and recommending possible improvements
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
