What you will do

As an Business Systems Support Analyst, you will:

  • log and track all user interactions from identification to close-out, as well as track and report on metrics related to operational support activities;
- participate in system integration and sanity testing;
- have the opportunity to further improve the team's ability to support our business clients by contributing and maintaining a knowledge base of business, technical and support issues;
- participate in and lead testing of the department's business continuity plan and its interaction with other business stakeholders;
- provide stand-by services to off-hour activities for the Market Data Management solution; and
- play a lead role in ensuring new FMD employees have appropriate tools and information services available.


What you need to succeed
You will possess a solid understanding of support methodologies and skills in client relationship management.

You are a confident communicator, both orally and in writing, who can coordinate work and communication between the BASS team and the Information Technology Services Department, service providers and other vendors.

Your innovative problem-solving skills enable you to solve technical and business-related problems and determine root causes.

Your knowledge of market data and information services as well as your experience conducting needs assessment and eliciting and identifying business requirements make you a strong analytical problem solver.


Nice-to-have
- knowledge of the business of FMD and the role of the Findur suite of software tools and the Market Intelligence tools in supporting the business
- experience working with the standard and specialized systems used in FMD
- knowledge of business analysis principles and standard methologies


Your education and experience

What you need to know

  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
  • Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
  • Security level required: Be eligible to obtain Secret
  • Relocation assistance may be provided, if required

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $74,150 to $87,230 (job grade 15)
  • Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (5 to 7% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (10% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
