    Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Claims Strategy and Transformation Lead.

    Reporting to the Head of Claims Operations, you will set overall claims strategic direction, and develop and execute financial and operating plans that enable the claims area to deliver.

    What you will do


    • Provides analytical, problem solving leadership and support to the Claims Service Unit.

    • Partner with Claims Service Unit's management in the development and execution of operational/financial strategy that supports the unit ́s short term and long term goals.

    • Monitors and supports the Claims Service Unit's progress relative to the unit ́s operational/financial plans.

    • Evaluates progress of key projects and initiatives.

    • Identifies potential issues/opportunities relative to the unit ́s plan and recommends possible improvements.

    • Assist in strategy development/execution.

    • Monitor/review strategic progress relative to operational plans.

    • Evaluate key projects/initiatives.

    • Conduct feasibility review of Claims Service Unit plans and for projects/initiatives.

    • Identify possible issues/opportunities and recommend solutions.

    • Propose potential new initiatives or areas or improvement.

    • Perform Operating Reviews.

    • Manages a team of staff in monitoring and evaluating Claims Service Unit progress toward defined goals.

    • Participates in profitability reviews for the Claims Strategic Service Unit to identify key actions for driving target profitability.

    Job Qualifications - What you bring to the table

    Required:

    • Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Strategic Execution area
    AND

    • 2 or more years of Project Management level experience for projects with management consulting

    • Experience in managing and developing people

    Preferred:

    • MBA

    • 4 or more years in management consulting or corporate strategy / internal consulting

    • P&C Insurance, Financial Services experience

    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

    • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

    • Advanced Microsoft Office spreadsheet and database skills

    • Experience working in a team environment

    • Ability to lead cross-functional/business projects
