Accounts Admin Officer - Special Loans


What is the Opportunity?


RBC's Special Loans & Advisory Services (SLAS) Group is looking for an Account Admin Officer to join their team, supporting account managers in Commercial Markets.

The Account Admin Officer will serve as a first point of contact for account managers and assists in the day-to-day management of the area, proactively creating capacity by adapting effective workflow systems & processes, platform technology and organizational change initiatives focused on Special Loans and Advisory Services (SLAS).


What will you do?

  • You will be a centre of expertise for most operational, credit administration and administrative issues for the unit, controlling activities to ensure they are organized and prioritized according to corporate policies.
  • Ensure consistency of processes & technology, champion platform issues and initiatives, and minimize costs by leveraging knowledge and expertise to assist the business.
  • Ensure Manager's needs are proactively identified and provide required information/documents for him/her to complete duties. Gather and prepare material required by Senior Manager's for presentations, meetings, etc.
  • Support the onboarding of new staff, manage group expenses, and pay invoices while maintaining appropriate records and controls.
  • Manage office routines and expenses ensuring efficiency is maintained through availability of equipment & supplies and effective management of files & records.
  • Maintain a high level of organizational awareness (procedures, policies, systems) in order to facilitate duties for the team.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Organizational awareness & familiarity with Bank systems (Synergy, Sales Platform, CART, InfoAcces, Covarity, etc.); or high aptitude to learn new systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (notably Excel)
  • Selfdriven with capability of managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to take ownership/responsibility for issues and follow them through to completion
  • Work with a sense of urgency as many requests require real time action to mitigate bank risk and ability to problem solve with great attention to detail

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of file referral process (and SLASE system)
  • Working Knowledge of BCRMS, CMS is an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Access is an asset
  • Experience in the Business Service Centre is an asset
