    Role and Responsibilities

    In this role, the Project Controller will be responsible to:

    • Work with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure proper progress and financial tracking and reporting of the projects and programs.
    • Prepare project and program reports
    • Manage and maintain project tracking systems, documentation, change requests, and on-line collaboration spaces.
    • Prepare management indicators, progress reviews and documentation relating to the monitoring of the project
    • Track project finance and analyze information to define problems and formulate recommendations to Project Management Team.

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Actively participate in the project authorization process alongside the Planner to understand the financial structure of the project/program
    • Track and maintain invoicing and payment schedules
    • Perform monthly financial analysis and support project review cycles.
    • Identify discrepancies and evaluate impacts.
    • Process change requests and scenario based analysis.
    • Implement changes to project finances – manage data and systems.
    • Administer cost lines.
    • Support risk tracking system.
    • Evaluate cost/schedule/performance key performance Indicators (including EVMS).
    • Analyze discrepancies between the estimated, actual time and cost spent on a given project.
    • Produce project/program review documentation.
    • Ensure proper project documentation and communication.
    • Open and maintain collaborative environments.
    • Produce or manage the client required documentation.
    • Produce commercial invoices.
    • Liaise with PMO analyst group

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in administration or in job-related field.
    • Project management certification is an asset.
    • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in project planning and control.
    • Relevant experience in an industrial environment.
    • Good organizational skills.
    • Accuracy and precision.
    • Good interpersonal skills and diplomacy.
    • Good written and spoken communication skills.
    • Ability to manage one's time and multiple projects with tight deadlines.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite .
    • Program management, MS Project and ERP environment experience an asset.
    • Innovation, creativity, sense of ownership.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimum guidance and supervision.
    • Fluency in English and French.
    • CAE employees must be able to meet the requirements of the Canada Controlled Good Program (CGP), and in certain cases, ITAR requirements
    • Ability to work in hybrid mode
