Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll and Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital are actively seeking applicants for an Integrated Clinical Informatics Specialist position.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Meets regularly with managers to remain appraised of business operations, and support management decision making by designing queries, analyzing, and interpreting the results, and assess data quality issues.
  • Collaborates with leadership and educators to provide training, resources, and support with downtime procedures.
  • Design and implement educational and clinical services programs; support enduser training.
  • Assist with the configuration and setup of new users within the clinical systems as they relate to the EHR.
  • Ensure all data solutions are consistent and that all automated processes preserve data by managing the alignment of data availability and integration processes.
  • Coordinate with other members of the team to implement solutions to system related problems to minimize operational impact.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants and the Regional Shared Service (RSS) teams engaged for hospital specific and regional information system initiatives.
  • Participate in Regional Clinical Applications meetings (e.g. Regional, Firstnet, Surginet Clinical Councils, as well as HIM meetings).
  • Lead upgrade testing and golive support (including the creation of test scripts).
  • Promotes an environment that encourages and supports change using change leadership theory.
  • Carry out duties in a way that embodies the mission, vision and values of providing a patient and familycentred experience and highquality care.

Qualifications Required:


  • Regulated health care professional registered in good standing with the applicable college in Ontario.
  • Experience with relationship management and working with clinicians to integrate technology into practice.
  • Project management qualification (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent experience as a Project Manager an asset.
  • Solid understanding of federal and provincial healthcare policies and standards (for example patient privacy) and implications on the digital and virtual care initiatives.
  • Sound organizational and planning skills with the ability to multitask and meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Proven skills in software and hardware support.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proven effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and excellent problemsolving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships within a team to contribute to a positive work life.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with hospital staff, technical support teams, and other healthcare professionals.

Other Pertinent Conditions:


  • Salary as per the Non-Union Salary Schedule ($39.82 per hour to $46.59 per hour)
