LANDSCAPE CARPENTER

Reports to:
Project Manager

Up to $40.00


Summary:


As a Landscape Carpenter you will play a crucial role in creating and constructing wooden structures and features that enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces.

Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our landscape projects.

  • Strong competency in landscape carpentry including but not limited to: use of various materials including softwoods, hardwoods and exotics.
  • Proficiency with carpentry tools including mitre saws, table saws, and circular saws.

Job Duties:


  • Construct and install a variety of wooden structures and features, such as fences, decks, pergolas, arbors, gazebos, and retaining walls.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Select appropriate materials based on design, functionality, and environmental considerations.
  • Measure, cut, shape and join wood and other materials using hand and power tools.
  • Collaborate with landscape designers, architects, and other professionals to ensure the carpentry work aligns with the overall project vision.
  • Maintain and repair existing wooden structures as needed.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines, building codes, and legal requirements.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis.
  • Comply with all company policies and regulations.
  • Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas.
  • Employee training.
  • Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner.

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Landscape Carpenter or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of different types of wood, hardware, and fasteners suitable for outdoor use.
  • Excellent carpentry skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate and maintain various hand and power tools.
  • Strong problemsolving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Time management skills.
  • Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Speak, read, and write English.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
