LANDSCAPE CARPENTER
Reports to:
Project Manager
Up to $40.00
Summary:
As a Landscape Carpenter you will play a crucial role in creating and constructing wooden structures and features that enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces.

- Strong competency in landscape carpentry including but not limited to: use of various materials including softwoods, hardwoods and exotics.
- Proficiency with carpentry tools including mitre saws, table saws, and circular saws.

Job Duties:
- Construct and install a variety of wooden structures and features, such as fences, decks, pergolas, arbors, gazebos, and retaining walls.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Select appropriate materials based on design, functionality, and environmental considerations.
- Measure, cut, shape and join wood and other materials using hand and power tools.
- Collaborate with landscape designers, architects, and other professionals to ensure the carpentry work aligns with the overall project vision.
- Maintain and repair existing wooden structures as needed.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, building codes, and legal requirements.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment.
- Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis.
- Comply with all company policies and regulations.
- Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas.
- Employee training.
- Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Landscape Carpenter or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of different types of wood, hardware, and fasteners suitable for outdoor use.
- Excellent carpentry skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate and maintain various hand and power tools.
- Strong problemsolving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Time management skills.
- Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Speak, read, and write English.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
