    Your opportunity

    The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to a designated group of partners and managers.

    Your major responsibilities

    • Assist with a variety of administrative tasks which may include preparing and formatting correspondence, reports, and presentations, filing, scheduling meetings and conference calls
    • Provide assistance in formatting financial statements and other documents using Caseview/Caseware
    • Assist with client invoicing and process invoices through the billing system
    • Manage work in process for a number of billing partners and managers
    • Prepare and submit employee reimbursements for partners and managers
    • Formatting and review of draft reports and schedules including spelling, grammar, basic comprehension
    • Finalization of reports to ensure accuracy and professional appearance consistent with the high level nature of the work and our firm's standard
    • Proofread and edit documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format
    • Prepare corporate T2 assemblies and assist with T1 assembly during tax season
    • E filing T2's, T1's and trusts returns
    • Type, photocopy, and distribute sensitive material
    • Relief reception duties shared between our administrative assistants
    • Assist with booking meetings, scheduling outside facilities, etc.
    • Provide general office support as needed

    What we look for

    • A minimum of four years' experience as an administrative assistant in an accounting or professional services firm
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel and Word)
    • Experience using Tax Prep
    • Experience using Caseware/Caseview is an asset
    • College diploma or university degree
    • Effective communication (verbal and written) in English
    • Applicants must possess the ability to take initiative, work under tight deadlines and work independently
    • Excellent organizational skills and with a high level of attention to detail
    • Positive outlook with an enthusiastic manner·
    • Solid understanding of business professionalism and the ability to work in a team environment
