QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician program.
  • Current registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
  • 6 months employment experience, within the last 2 years, using and maintaining pharmacy automation
  • 6 months employment experience, within the last 2 years, using Meditech Pharmacy module o 6 months employment experience, within the last 2 years, preparing sterile drugs required (both hazardous and nonhazardous).
  • 6 months employment experience, within the last 2 years, as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital environment. o Adequate knowledge of regulations governing Hospital Pharmacy practice. o 6 months employment experience, within the last 2 years, with or certified in, BPMH (Best Possible Medication History) gathering and documentation required.
  • Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of products efficiently.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills needed to handle diversified and changing workload.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities including goal setting and service awareness.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt well to progressive change.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written), teamwork, and problemsolving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development. o Consistent and regular attendance required.
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
  • Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
