Schedule:
- Seasonal: March
- October
- Shift: 9am3:30pm (6.5 hours/day)
- Monday-Sunday
- Fulltime, Parttime
Job Requirements:
- A sound knowledge of animals, their characteristics and other facts.
- Comfortable handling animals.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong desire to provide exceptional customer service: patience, professionalism, positive attitude, attention to detail, adaptability.
- Position requires physical demands that may include, but are not limited to: heavy lifting, raking, shoveling, and standing for up to six hours at a time.
- Willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Previous customer service and/or animal care experience will be considered an asset.
- First Aid certification is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with and educate visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ensure rules are being followed to protect the health and safety of both visitors and animals.
- Monitor the health and welfare of the animals.
- Clean animal pens & enclosures.
