Gay Lea Foods Co-operative is a stable year-round manufacturer of food products primarily based in Ontario. Our Guelph facility has been a fixture in the community for more than 50 years.


We are seeking general labour's who will be trained in the production area for our Butter Room and our Aerosol Whipped Cream departments.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum high school diploma and/or relevant dairy experience
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including excellent sanitary habits, CIP systems and possess knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Physically capable of performing the demands of the job and ability to multitask
  • Good communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Mechanical aptitude and solid troubleshooting skills

Physical Demands:

Standing and walking, for extended length of time. Occasional lifting of materials to a maximum weight of 20 kg.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

- forklift: 3 years (preferred)
