POSITION SCOPE


Reporting to the CMG Distribution Center Manager, this position provides support to the distribution team through daily order preparation and inventory needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily review and release of order documentation to initiate processing by distribution team, ensuring accuracy of products and freight based on customer specifications.
  • Coordination of midday order adjustments to accommodate customer modifications.
  • Resolve customer concerns by working with internal departments and external carriers and vendors.
  • Schedules and coordinates inbound as well as outbound shipments in addition to communicating with freight carriers.
  • Ensure that Company safety protocols are followed consistently and that all shipments have accompanying MSDS when required.
  • Provide timely reporting of shipments, inventory receipts, inventory cycle counting and reports.
  • Purchasing warehouse supplies.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with other Warehouse team members in addition to internal departments, specifically Customer Service.
  • Consistently achieve personal and team key performance indicators/goals. Report and document information for internal use.
  • General administrative support to the Distribution Center Manager & Lead Hand as required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Previous administrative experience in Warehouse, Freight/Distribution and/or Manufacturing industry experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Safety & HAACP guidelines relevant to food processing industries is preferred, but not required.
  • Warehouse Management or Inventory Control software experience preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft 365 is a huge plus.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement to make necessary decisions and understand when to escalate to management.
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate both in verbal and written correspondence.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fastpaced work environment, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: with the ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Experience with RF scanners an asset.
  • Passion for the craft brewing & malting industry is a plus.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • GED or High School diploma
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must wear PPE
