Project Details

Location: Edmonton, AB
Start Date: August 14, 202
Duration: 2 years or until construction is completed
Shift: Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day. Additional hours will be required during peak construction and tunnelling.

Your Key Responsibilities

Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Responsible for overseeing and managing all operations at the bottom of the shaft in a construction and mining environment.
Lead and supervise pipe changes, including the setup and tear down of equipment and tools.
Manage and work with highpressure lines and highvoltage lines, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines.
Experience working with surveyors and following their guidance for accurate positioning and alignment.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including production reports and safety documentation.
Ability to train and mentor laborers, ensuring they understand and adhere to proper procedures and safety protocols.
Familiarity with auto greasers and the ability to monitor and fill them as required.
Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Pitt Bottom Boss working with small diameter, deep shafts, or micro tunnelling.
Must be able to work in confined spaces.
Must be able to work in shaft 4 feet in diameter and 20+ meters below grade.
Previous experience with tunneling sewer or wastewater construction.
First Aid is an asset but not required.
Must have a valid driver's license and ability to be insured to drive a company vehicle.
Employment conditional on successful completion of required safety training and site access requirements.
Must have proficient written and spoken English.
