- Manage the preparation and review of Canadian income tax returns, SR&ED claims, tax forms, and elections to ensure accurate and timely filings
- Prepare and review quarterly and year-end tax provision working papers, including book to filing differences
- Oversee the filing process for US Federal and State tax returns prepared by external advisors
- Prepare necessary documentation and responses to audit queries from tax authorities
- Monitor and calculate tax balances and attributes
- Identify tax risks and opportunities in new or existing business transactions
- Research and provide guidance on taxable benefits matters
- Conduct research on tax issues, prepare technical memos to identify risks, and offer recommendations to management
- Assist with special projects and transactions, including preparing scenario modeling and analysis
- CPA or Master of Taxation qualification
- 3 to 5 years of relevant tax accounting and compliance experience
- Experience with US income tax compliance is an asset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Tax Prep software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively
- Collaborative mindset to deliver results alongside peers and colleagues

The position will involve reporting to the Senior Director, Income Tax and collaborating closely with the Senior Manager, Income Tax on various tax functions and initiatives, including tax compliance, reporting, government audits, tax planning, and providing support to the Rogers Group of Companies. This role is for a 12-month duration.
