August 2024 Required Education and Recommended Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience Must hold, or be eligible for a(n) NWT Teaching Certificate Bachelor of Education Degree Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Science or Engineering is an asset Knowledge of and experience in the effective use of technology as a teaching and learning tool Knowledge of one or more computer programming languages (Scratch, HTML, and Java is an asset) Experience teaching in northern communities is an asset The understanding of Indigenous cultures is an asset Vulnerable Sector Check is a requirement Required Skills and Abilities Proficient skills in the use of Google Workspace Ability to teach senior high school mathematics at the Grade level, including Calculus Ability to connect mathematical and computational thinking Ability to teach computer hardware and software, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance of hardware and software, web development, digital citizenship, etc.

Ability to work as a team member in planning, delivery and assessment of programs and students Organizational skills, initiative and a strong team focus Ability to speak French would be an asset Closing date:
