Description

Your Role:

To provide assistance to the Director of Transportation in establishing and maintaining Dot Transportation Canada business performance in all areas of our business including recruiting, retention, operations, safety, budgeting, while supporting dispatch and drivers.


  • Coordinates with dispatch for efficient and effective fleet resource utilization.
  • Heavily support with vehicle safety issues, driver retention and safety programs.
  • Supports overall dispatch, traffic, and driver management goals.
  • Assists with budget preparation and execution.
  • Manages the onboard computer systems and hours of service for all drivers.
  • Assume Driver Supervisor Responsibilities in their absence.
  • Assist with driver payroll tasks and expenses.
  • Assist with other tasks assigned by DTI leadership based on business needs.

Role Specifics:

- _Supervision
  • Assigned_ drivers & dispatch staff.
- _Travel -_ Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train/vendor call, training or meetings.

  • Can travel to Calgary, Alberta, & Brampton as needed.

We Need You To Have:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent Dot Foods experience
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to function in a multitask environment deadlines

We'd Like You To Have:


  • Prior management experience
  • Prior transportation experience
  • Knowledge of MTO, Federal and Provincial regulations for drivers and equipment
  • Ability to influence desired behavior change with internal/external customers and vendors.
  • Bilingual English/French
