WSP has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Hydrogeologist to join our Environmental Management Division in BC & Yukon. You would be joining our growing hydrogeology team on a full-time basis based in the Lower Mainland, BC.Hydrogeological work may include:
- Conducting site investigations, such as:
- Installing monitoring wells, pumping wells, and vibrating wire piezometers;
- Groundwater sampling;
- Undertaking hydrogeological test work (slug tests, pumping tests, infiltration testing and packer testing).
- Data compilation, analysis and interpretation;
- Collecting hydrogeological, geotechnical and contaminant information from drilling operations;
- Conducting seepage analysis and assessing groundwater inflows related to infrastructure and mining;
- Reporting to support environmental impact assessments, feasibility studies, water supply assessments, water management, and contaminated sites assessments;
- We place a strong emphasis on developing practical solutions to meet our Client's needs, and preference will be given to individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills in addition to strong technical competence and reporting.

A day in the life:
- You are a champion for Health & Safety this is always your top priority, as it is ours;
- You will be organising and executing a wide variety of fieldwork associated with hydrogeological projects, including groundwater site characterization and investigations, groundwater sampling, drilling oversight, well design and installation and pumping of supply wells, and you will be responsible for maintaining data quality, interpretation and reporting as required;
- You will travel and participate in both local and remote fieldwork as well as rotational field programs on occasion, primarily within western and northern Canada and have the ability and flexibility to adapt to unpredictable and/or inclement field conditions and changing schedules;
- You will bring quantitative skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail as well as an understanding of the principles of hydrogeology;
