OUR OPPORTUNITY
TNG in Burlington, Ontario is seeking a motivated full-time
Database Analyst **to add to our purchasing team. This is a hybrid role with part-time being remote and part-time in the office.

Objective:

The responsibility of the Database Analyst will be to assist in developing, analyzing, maintaining, and providing the data required to manage key aspects of our business.

This individual possesses both strong and proven interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills.

This role also requires an emphasis on communication, problem solving, attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Monitor scheduled processes for data integrity
Run weekly monthly and quarter end reports
Support various departments' data needs on a regular basis
Assist in maintaining proprietary data sets
Troubleshoot data discrepancies and data flow issues
Assist in data transformations / migrations
Assist in development of new reporting solutions and decommissioning of obsolete reports
Participate in meetings to determine / review report requirements and development
Create ad hoc reports on request
Work within tight timelines

Other tasks as required Skill/Knowledge requirements:

Completion of a degree/diploma in computer technology or equivalent experience
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Understanding of data warehousing
Proven intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience with SQL Server Management Studio/ SQL Server Reporting Services or equivalent experience designing reports a plus
Understanding of multidimensional data models a plus
Experience with a WANG system a plus
Experience with SAP systems a plus
Experience with IBM Cognos a plus
