Job summary
To provide emergency medical care to the residents of Norfolk County.The position requires successful completion of a diploma in Emergency Care/Paramedicine from a Community College in Ontario
EMCA or A-EMCA certified by the Ministry of Health
Certification as a Primary Care Paramedic in the Province of Ontario,
(Regulation 257/00)
Currently certified as a Primary Care Paramedic, Advanced Care Paramedic, or Critical Care Paramedic in good standing with an Ontario Base Hospital
Possess current valid CPR certificate
Possess and maintain all qualifications as specified under the Ambulance Act and Regulations
Up to six (6) months of related experience
Ability to exert heavy physical effort required to treat and move patients,,
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and writing
- The ability exercise sound judgment emergency situations.
