- 2+ years of law office experience in litigation
- Post-secondary education in Office Admin, Legal Admin or Law Clerk
- Good knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure
- PC skills: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Plan, organize, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, adapt to changes
- Work independently, maintain discretion with sensitive info, stay positive
- Prepare, extensively edit, and ensure the quality of correspondence and legal documentation
- Draft pleadings to be filed with various courts
- Coordinate external and internal communication —mail, e-mail, fax and telephone calls
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, addressing inquiries
- Maintain client files
- Compile dockets daily
- Prepare accounts
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, conference calls, and maintain agenda
- Assist with other projects and support other departments as needed
