    If you are a Law Clerk with 2+ years of experience in litigation law looking to join a relationship-focused law firm on-site in Ottawa, this role is for you

    Competitive salary range: $50,000-$65,000

    About you

    To succeed in this role, you will need:

    • 2+ years of law office experience in litigation
    • Post-secondary education in Office Admin, Legal Admin or Law Clerk
    • Good knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure
    • PC skills: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email
    • Effective verbal and written communication
    • Plan, organize, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, adapt to changes
    • Work independently, maintain discretion with sensitive info, stay positive

    About the role

    If hired, you will:

    • Prepare, extensively edit, and ensure the quality of correspondence and legal documentation
    • Draft pleadings to be filed with various courts
    • Coordinate external and internal communication —mail, e-mail, fax and telephone calls
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, addressing inquiries
    • Maintain client files
    • Compile dockets daily
    • Prepare accounts
    • Coordinate and schedule meetings, conference calls, and maintain agenda
    • Assist with other projects and support other departments as needed
