Qualifications:
Essential:
- Post secondary education in business administration or public administration. Other combinations of education and training may be considered.
- Experience developing briefing materials and correspondence on behalf of executives.
- Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work with highly sensitive material in a confidential and professional manner.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with challenging clients and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and TEAMS).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time sensitive deadlines.
Desired:
- Effective political acumen skills.
Duties:
Reporting to the Manager of Resolutions, Program Specialists are responsible for responding to information requests from senior decision-makers and inquiries from applicants, tenants and the general public.
In carrying out these responsibilities, Program Specialists will be required to perform research, analyze and interpret policies, and build collaborative relationships across the Department.
Program Specialists must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills in order to draft correspondence on behalf of senior decision-makers and communicate effectively with vulnerable individuals.
