About the Position
We are seeking a Finance Coordinator to join our dedicated team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, this position is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
Accurate and timely processing of donations including credit card, cheque, wire and securities
Prepare donation tax receipts ensuring compliance with CRA requirements
Processing grant payment requests ensuring compliance with internal controls
Prepare bank deposits electronically and at bank, as required
Onboard grantees to electronical payment process
Process employee expense claims and corporate credit cards
Assist with processing accounts payable including entering, coding, and batching for payment. Ensuring compliance with internal workflows and approvals
Provide general office administration support as required, minimum once a week in person
Communicating and coordinating multiple workflows across departments
Maintaining confidentiality while reviewing the accuracy of sensitive internal and external deliverables. Items may include donor information, banking information, donation receipts, and grant correspondence.
Maintaining compliance with internal controls and identifying opportunities for improvement, such as identifying ways to streamline high volume processes.
Learning and championing productivity tools such as Asana, Salesforce, Fundraising Manager, SAP Concur and MS teams.
Ensuring appropriate supporting documentation for financial transactions
Preparing routine journal entries
Supporting financial inquiries from internal staff, fund advisors and donors
Keeping process documentation up to date and easy to follow
Participating in ad hoc accounting, finance and information technology projects
Cross training to act as backup for Finance Coordinator team
Desired Experience/Education/Skills

A minimum of 3 years' experience in an administration or coordination role
_Preferred:

Experience volunteering or working for a charitable or non-profit organization
Experience entering a high volume of transactions in financial software
Experience in a role that engages with multiple stakeholders
Experience with Salesforce, Fundraising Manager and Concur
