    Position: Director, Exterior Siding Division


    Location: Ottawa

    A recognized leader in construction with offices in Ottawa and Quebec is actively looking for a strategic leader to oversee the operational and financial success of their Exterior Siding Division.


    Reporting to the executive management team, the
    Director of the Exterior Siding Division is responsible for managing, and growing the division while ensuring compliance, integrity of operations, projects, fiscal responsibility, contract management, health and safety, human resources and sustain excellence in client services.


    Responsibilities include, not limited to:

    • As a key member of the management team, represent the organization with professionalism, credibility, researching new business while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and clients
    • Establish objectives of the division, ensure human resources, health and safety requirements are addressed, act proactively to improve processes, best practices within a positive work environment
    • Lead by example, work collaboratively with Superintendents, Project Managers providing guidance and support as required
    • Monitor industry trends to stay innovative and competitive
    • Play a key role in fiscal management, budget, accrued costs, and financial analysis in collaboration with finance and presenting to the President, Vice President, the Board of Directors
    • Negotiate agreements; and evaluate, approve modifications and additions necessary for contracts, credits, etc.
    • Ensure regular meetings, project status reports to ensure consistency in communications with the team and stakeholders

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor, or technical degree in civil engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience
    • At least 10 years of progressive experience in construction, project management; demonstrated expertise in managing a sizable team
    • Senior level of expertise within construction specific to the building envelope is necessary
    • Strong aptitude for working with numbers, budgets, financial analysis, creating and developing reports to ensure fiscal integrity of the division
    • Strong leadership skills, ability to lead by example, empower and lead a team; results oriented with clear vision short and long term
    • Strong affinity to the organization and the team; the ability to effectively develop a strategic plan, allocate resources and manage priorities
    • An effective and decisive communicator, spoken and written, English and French
