Cybersecurity Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Cybersecurity Officer with primary responsibilities that include monitoring IT vendor relationships, packaging software applications, adjusting features and settings in the FCNB Microsoft 365 tenant and reviewing alerts or reports on security, as directed by the Cybersecurity Architect. This position will have an interesting variety of responsibilities.

Your focus:

• Perform vendor security reviews for IT-related hardware, software, and services, and monitoring of vendor relationships.
• Package, test, and deploy software in Microsoft 365.
• Review security reports and alerts to monitor for unusual activity and potential security or compliance issues.
• Assist the Cybersecurity Architect with changes to Microsoft 365 settings and features, including testing and support document creation.
• Research cybersecurity threats and trends and liaise with other jurisdictions and organizations on cybersecurity topics.
• Assist with any other projects identified in the Commission's Cybersecurity Strategy.

What you bring:

· Post-secondary education in computer science, with at least some coursework specific to cybersecurity (education specific to cybersecurity is preferred); or equivalent education and experience,

· 2 years' experience in cybersecurity or education related to Microsoft 365 (preferred),

· Willingness to commit to annual cybersecurity training identified by the Chief Information Security Officer
