EYES Childcare Kitchener is looking for euthanistic Early Childhood Assistants to join our team in providing high quality care to children and families.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the early childhood program
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons
• Promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents and families
• Monitor and assess children's progress and provide feedback to parents
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
• Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom

Skills:

• Strong caregiving skills with experience in babysitting, nannying, or working with young children
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques for early childhood age group
• Ability to create and maintain a structured and organized classroom environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in working with diverse groups of children
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Early Childhood Assistant Certificate OR Experience Working in Child Care Centers
• Uptodate Police Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
• 2 Step TB test, immunization (Tetanus, MMR) within last year
