Position Overview

Compensation and Hours of Work

This is a bargaining unit position with a wage rate of
$44.46 per hour (Grid 1, Band 17), working 35 hours per week.

Annual vacation starts two weeks (or 4%), increasing to three weeks (or 6%) after a four-month probationary period, in addition to 13 paid statutory holidays (after 30 days of employment).

After passing probation, you will then receive a full benefit package that includes extended health and dental coverage, paid sick leave, family responsibility leave, eyewear, eye exams, group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability benefits, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, and participation in the Municipal Pension Plan (MPP).

And finally, all SCRD employees have access to the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) upon hire, for free, confidential counselling services.
