_Catholic Social Services is currently recruiting for one, full time, 40 hours per week, Administrative Support t__o join _
_our team. This position has a weekly schedule of Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM._

_Contract until December 2024._


You will be joining an established Agency that is guided by faith to care for and bring hope to people in need with humility, compassion and respect.

With more than 50 years of service delivery, Catholic Social Services is one of the largest multi-function social services agencies in Canada, with more than 1600 staff, and hundreds of volunteers delivering 130+ programs throughout Edmonton and Central Alberta.


Job Summary:


As an Administrative Support, you will have a positive attitude and a proactive approach to provide administrative support to our Children, Family, and Community Service.


Reception:


  • Welcome people we serve/guests by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries
  • Maintain an efficient, tidy, and smoothly running office environment
  • Perform office reception duties and schedule appointments
  • Take/forward messages
  • Organize, process, and distribute correspondence and packages going out from or coming into the office

Administrative:


  • Provide general office and administrative support to our Service including data entry, filing and reporting
  • Perform appointment reminders
  • Handling and filing confidential personal information
  • Processing payments
  • Liaising with programs and professionals both internal and external to Catholic Social Services
  • Arrange for mail and courier pickup as needed
  • Assist with formatting of documents as needed
  • Assist with ensuring accurate data is entered into database
  • Address and distribute interoffice and Canada Post mail and packages as needed

General:


  • Facilitate and provide a welcoming, hospitable, and safe environment
  • Maintain appropriate personal and professional boundaries
  • Communicate accurately and professionally with all staff and people under our care and outside agencies
  • Attend regular team meetings
  • Maintain current knowledge of Agency policies and procedures, as well as relevant legislation, regulations, practice standards, and practice guidelines
  • Provide information about agency Services and information sessions through program pamphlets and brochures
  • A high degree of attention to detail, accountability, and accuracy
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism by being reliable, courteous, responsive, and punctual
  • A welldefined sense of diplomacy
  • Able to provide professional service to others with discretion, maturity, compassion, empathy, and sensitivity
  • Outstanding phone, digital, and inperson etiquette and professional demeanor

  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity
  • Knowledge of and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, professionals, and service providers

Qualifications:


  • Diploma or Degree in Office Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in administrative office work.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and flexibility are necessary in order to work with our dedicated team.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office
  • The ability to use all office equipment
  • Clear Criminal Record Check
  • Clear Child Intervention Record Check

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is
$18.58 to $20.92 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
