We are looking for a
_Training and Development Specialist (12 month contract)_


Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Process Development & Training
, the Training and Development Specialist is an exciting and fast paced role within the Contracts and Compensation department.


You will support training and development needs for new and existing employees of the Contracts and Compensation department, with a focus on creating training documentation.


What you will do

  • Design, maintain and update training material such as: job aids, user guides, process notes, reference charts and training videos
  • Ensure all training documentation is stored in an organized and easy to access manner
  • Support project work where necessary
  • Occasionally assist with updates to other department documentation including templates and forms
  • Occasionally facilitate virtual training sessions to members of the department
  • Share ideas in the spirit of continuous improvement and provide input on key initiatives, look for and share opportunities to improve team efficiencies

What you will bring

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; ability to clearly articulate and transfer information to others
  • Strong technology and graphic/visual design skills
  • Sound working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook)
  • Understanding of Adult Learning Principles is considered an asset
  • Understanding of insurance contracts and compensation processes is considered an asset
