The opportunity


The Manager, Quality Enablement is responsible for the design and implementation of Quality Engineering (QE) strategies and processes, supporting the delivery of technology services and solutions to customers.

This includes striking an appropriate balance between achieving near-term results, achieving longer-term efficiencies, and managing risks.

Who you'll work with


This role encompasses providing direction and oversight to Solution & Quality Engineering (SQE) teams in areas such as test strategy, test design, test automation, functional / performance / integration testing.


The Manager, Quality Enablement offers thought leadership and action to support the QA delivery of business and technology sponsored initiatives, and the continuous improvement of QA within SQE in a hybrid working environment.

What you'll do- Responsible for the implementation of standardized QE strategies, processes, frameworks, and tools for all SQE teams. Works with the Senior Manager, Quality Enablement to align QE practices, including testing methodology and processes, across the enterprise. Ensures defined QE standards are followed and are aligned to the IT Vision and SQE Test Strategy.

Provides input and recommendations in QE perspective to business and IT stakeholders.- Responsible for testing resources' adherence to QE standards, practices, and procedures to ensure that solutions are designed and tested according to agreed upon QE methodologies.

Ensures Quality Enablement key performance indicators (KPIs) are met (e.g. code coverage, defect leakage etc.).

Assurance is attained through group education & training, regular test case reviews, and automation / assertion via enabling technology.- Responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in Test Automation, QE Methodologies and Processes, Testing Tools and Techniques to all SQE and Product teams.

Provides testing leadership, support, and directions to internal Quality Engineers on testing strategy and methodologies (e.g. testing levels, UI / API / E2E testing, automated vs manual, test data management, etc.). Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in common test automation tools (e.g. TestComplete, ReadyAPI, Jmeter, and QuerySurge) and testing solutions using Python, Groovy, Java, JavaScript,.NET, etc.

Accountable for training, feedback to performance managers, and coaching of internal QE resources.- Continuously seeks and identifies potential opportunities for enhancements, cost and resource efficiencies, speed to delivery, and best practices in QE.

Accountable for the efficient operation and continuous improvement of QE resources' capabilities- Works with moderate supervision and is proactive in soliciting management direction and in escalating significant issues.

Demonstrates a willingness to take on responsibility and is able to execute autonomously.


What you'll need- Expert knowledge gained through extensive experience and success in delivering solutions, with practical experience in the Solution Development Lifecycle; complemented with a thorough understanding of common QA / DevOps methodologies and test automation tools.- An expert understanding of current QA processes, standards, and tooling is required.


This includes:
testing approaches, tools, and deployment methods.

Experience in Agile Methodology and continuous build and deployment techniques.- Extensive experience with various types of testing including: API, UI, Unit, Component, ETL, Integration, Functional, Performance, etc.- Experience monitoring / improving an organization's software testing standards and practices.- Effective in team management functions in a matrix setting across multiple functional teams - exercising sound judgment, management, and problem-solving skills.- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.

This includes coaching, mentoring, presentation, conflict resolution, negotiation, and expectation management skills.- Experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships with multiple clients, teams, internal and external partners.- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent training / industry experience.- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Information Technology industry.- 5+ years of experience in software testing (including test automation).- 3+ years of experience in performance test planning, team management and coordination.
