Under the supervision of the Manager of Verifications, the person who holds this position must demonstrate a strong command of the working

language (French, English or both), most possess a writing ability over the average, and must be detail-oriented regarding grammar and spelling.

The person who holds this position have to write comprehensive and detailed reports on employment verifications and references always to the highest quality standards of the industry.


The Typist is expected to be well organized, detail oriented and be able to work well in both a team and solitary environment.

The Typist is expected be able to work in a fast-paced environment.


Responsabilities:


The responsibilities of the Typist include the following:

  • Using the in-house software for processing records, the agent prepare for the clients partial and final reports to provide results, employment or references
  • Ensuring the quality of results provided to clients of the Company and report any deficiencies or lack of information on the results or other data of the Company and participate in the resolution of these problems
  • Observe the specific standards and procedures of the Company's customer's reports
  • Translate employment references from French to English and/or viceversa
  • Assist with training when required
  • Ensure compliance with the company standards of privacy and security
  • Work with team members to ensure that excellent customer service is provided
  • Maintain good relationships with colleagues and supervisors
  • Refer to the team leader for advice, answers to their questions, and advise of any problematic situations
  • Maintain a clean and operational working environment
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned by one of their superiors

Required qualifications:

Knowledge and Education

  • Degree of a college/high school recognized in Canada
  • Typing speed
  • 60 words / minute minimum
  • Minimum of 90% in the
written language test (in all languages)

  • Bilingual, English and
French, an asset

Experience, Skills and Abilities

  • Work experience in a similar role (6 months to 1 year)
  • Exceptional attention to the detail and strong organizational skills
  • Dedication to providing quality service to the Company's customers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Tenacity/goal driven to meet the policy requirements
  • Ability to manage work independently and demonstrate a professional attitude
