- Support Maintenance Foreman in delivery of professional support services to Operations
- This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining field and plant equipment, including engine and compressor overhaul, pump repair/overhaul, alignments and clutches, and maintaining a preventative maintenance system as well as be able to interpret reliability data
- Contribute to the team achievement of meeting business, environmental, health and safety targets
- Work with Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to eliminate unneeded downtime
- Participate in root cause failure analysis for rotating equipment
- Predictive maintenance including managing oil sampling program
- Maintain a critical spare parts inventory
- Liaise with field and plant operators, instrumentation, and electrical personal as needed
- These duties will be conducted in a safe & efficient manner with effective communication
- Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright Journeyman Certification or Interprovincial Red Seal Equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in a related role
- Knowledge & experience working in sweet and sour fields on various models of natural gas engines and compressors, pumps and artificial lift equipment (pumpjacks)
- Experience with Murphy, Allen Bradely & Remvue 500 panels
- Strong trouble shooting skills
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Exposure to maintenance management systems and functionality (Maximo or similar)
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills, verbally and written
- Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to manage time effectively
- Positive attitude and a sense of teamwork
- Must be willing to be on call and work overtime when required
- Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs is an asset. Must be able to learn and work with all Paramount based software programs

About this Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman, the Tradesperson – Mechanic will be a key member of the maintenance team to deliver safe and cost-effective Mechanic maintenance results in the Grande Prairie Region. The successful candidate will part of a multi-discipline team working a 5&2.
