Job Summary:

The Project coordinator/estimator will work closely with the Operations Manager and Contracts Manager to help organize and plan up to 100 projects per year, and provide daily job information for up to 6 field crews.

The Project coordinator/estimator will manage all bidding and project documents on Google Drive, and take calls from customers to create work orders and procure/print drawings for field staff.

Responsibilities:

As a Project coordinator/estimator, the Employee is required to perform the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner:

• Review all contracts to help define scope of work
• Create preliminary cost estimates and populate quotes for review with Contracts Manager
• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings as well as contractors' written instructions
• Organize bids and tenders by setting up files for each contract (electronic and paper)
• Follow up with Contractors after closing date of jobs
• Screen scheduling calls and work with Operations Manager to help schedule staff and communicate timelines to customers
• Perform inventory checks to ensure the appropriate amount of materials are available for the work on hand
• Ensure staff teams have all necessary information to complete the job by creating paper and electronic work orders as well as take offs
• Utilize Google Maps to create electronic work orders to ensure seamless completion of job
• Ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner
• Meet with Contractor/Inspectors to review scope of job/quantities/discrepancies
• Ensure monthly quantities submitted to accounting for invoicing

Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings and contractor instructions
• Excellent Organizational Skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong project management skills to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Self starter
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and field personnel
• Proficiency in word and excel is an asset
• Experience with Bluebeam an asset
• Proven experience as a Project Estimator or similar role in the construction industry

Salary:
From $70,000.00 per year
