Summary


The Enabling Services Product Management team at Equinix is focused on empowering customers via our Data Center Services (DCS) platform and our Smart family of service offerings.

As Principal Product Manager, API Integrations, you will be a crucial member of our API and Developer Ecosystem team, directly supporting partners and customers as they integrate Equinix services and data into their systems and processes.


Your primary objective will be to make Equinix a true extension of our customers' data center monitoring and management ecosystem by enabling their consumption of our data and services via API or via third-party plug-ins.

You will work closely with partners to design, develop, test and optimize plug-ins. You will work closely with customers to evaluate, design and deploy custom integrations. From these interactions you will abstract solutions for common use cases to provide as reference for future customer integrations.

You should excel at understanding customer procedures and data needs and working with developers to automate procedures and integrate essential information seamlessly into customer workflows and systems.


Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of Equinix customers' data center information and automation needs
  • Understand and be able to explain how DCS APIs can be leveraged to meet these needs
  • Assess, design and develop integrations that meet customer requirement and exceed customer expectations
  • Identify common use cases for integration of Equinix data and services and create standard reference content and code for partner and customer consumption
  • Identify requirements for a platform that supports realtime data stream processing, event bus, data persistence, and customer defined rules
  • Develop and shepherd strategic partnerships with industry leading vendors and system integrators
  • Working with partners to build joint solutions that meet customer needs and market demands
  • Participate in sales and marketing engagements to capture emerging market perspectives and evangelize products and joint offerings with Partners

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in technical roles focusing on developer platforms integrations for XaaS/Cloud products/services
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, Information Technology or related field of study
  • Ability to be customer and partner facing and manage multiple workstreams
  • Handson experience developing and delivering custom integrations
  • Deep understanding of streaming and restful APIs and other integration patterns
  • Experience with tools like Postman or ARC to test API and Web Service calls
  • Experience with Kafka, Flink, Cassandra/InfluxDB
  • Global experience and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

$160,000 to $273,000 - California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $153,000 to $261,000 - Colorado, Nevada,

Rhode Island:
$139,000 to $237,000 Our pay ranges
