About the role:

The Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for leading relationship management activity, building and nurturing relationships in the largest and most strategic suppliers, developing effective governance, as well as the analysis and management of financial and non-financial information to underpin the delivery of long-term commercial, operational and financial plans


In this role, you will:


  • Designing and overseeing the implementation of the strategic relationship management strategy, ensuring it meets the business and commercial needs of the organisation
  • Proactively seek and build continuous and meaningful engagement with the business and suppliers to shape services and improve value delivered from the supply chain
  • Aligning strategies with Category Management, Sourcing, and PO Management to ensure supplier obligations and customer and business value is met
  • Develop and implement performance systems, scorecards and governance cycles to capture performance and improvement.
  • Track and report specific SRM savings at an individual supplier level and at an aggregated SRM program level (these can include cost savings, efficiency programmes, service delivery & design improvement initiatives).
  • Responsible for the creation, optimization & risk mitigation from ongoing contractual engagements across a range of key suppliers and services
  • Partnering with Business Unit Leadership, Procurement to undertake regular business reviews with strategic suppliers to align on contractual obligations, service levels and efficiency targets model to drive value proposition and performance.
  • Produce governance reports, performance measures/kpi's and visual controls via organized operations and business reviews.
  • Champion the management of the Supplier/s by ensuring the operational and business leads perform the required tasks and responsibilities on time.
  • Obtain accurate performance information from vendors, reviews for completeness and accuracy and ensure timely communication of information across relevant stakeholders
  • Define and execute on strategies to drive performance, including quality, customer satisfaction and cost in partnership.
  • Drive continuous improvement through effective feedback processes to address challenges from stakeholders.
  • Ensures that a portfolio of suppliers is delivering required levels of service.
  • Establish and ensure continued operationalization of an effective governance structure that delivers overall relationship and financial oversight, ensuring appropriate financial rigor is applied on all key investment decisions.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships and implement strategies that will support delivery of business objectives
  • Support the development and optimizations of SRM tools, methodology and practices within a relatively 'greenfield' environment to implement a global bestpractice approach
  • Manage and monitor third party performance against key SLA's and KPI's, ensuring any contractual commitments are realised and that the appropriate remedies are implemented where appropriate

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience
  • Must have at least 5 years of management experience
  • Selfdirected, team player with 5+ years of experience dealing with cross functional teams
  • Has directly developed and led Supplier Relationship Management programs inclusive of Performance monitoring and governance
  • Demonstrated abilities to positively impact Supplier Performance and Operational efficiency
  • Ability to lead and facilitate steering committee team members to achieve common performance goals
  • Experience influencing & ing change management principles at all levels of an organization
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to facilitate (crossfunctional teams)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, demonstrated ability with Change management best practices
