Rothesay is seeking a senior manager to oversee the development functions of the town. This position will appeal to a midcareer professional in the fields of law, engineering, or planning. The successful applicant will lead a variety of functional areas including development control, building inspection, bylaw enforcement and planning. They will be experienced in tasks such as interpreting legislation, drafting development agreements, and negotiating contracts.

The Director of Development Services will be a member of the town's senior management team and represent the municipality in several capacities.

At least 5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a local government setting, well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to adapt to emerging issues with flexibility and creativity are prerequisites for the position.

Experience dealing with the public would be advantageous.
