Field Force Effectiveness Analyst

Purpose of the Job:


Reporting to the Director Exe Office, Insights & Analytics, the Analyst, Field Force Effectiveness is responsible for the technical and analytical management of the sales force performance incentive plan and implementing accurate and timely key metric deliverables to head office and the field.


Key Areas of Responsibilities:

The Analyst, Field Force Effectiveness effectively summarizes insights and recommendations upon which key strategic decisions will be based and is also assigned to provide advanced analytical support to the Diabetes and Obesity Sales teams:

  • Manages the technical implementation of the sales force incentive plan including incentive plan documentation, quota setting, and bonus pay outs
  • Participates with Sales Management on changes and developments in the Incentive Plan design
  • Participates in the strategic design and facilitate the technical execution of territory alignments and customer segmentation/targeting
  • Designs and implements automated reporting solutions that summarize and deliver accurate and timely key metrics to head office and the field (Xponent, TSA, PRx/GPM, etc.)
  • Provide training to Field Force employees on report understanding, analysis and usage and ensure new Sales Representatives are trained on Novo Nordisk's data confidentiality requirements for all data pertaining to IQVIA and other suppliers.
  • Provides support to the Field Force Effectiveness Manager with the interpretation of sales results and market trends along with month end reporting to the Executive Team.
  • Provides support to the Sales Organization through the resolution of data questions and concerns as required.
  • Maintains data parameters with IQVIA and other data sources as well as within the internal data warehouse structure including territory alignments/maintenance, new products, market definitions changes and additions.

Key Compliance Accountabilities:


  • Ensures IC calculations are in line with approved IC plans and budgets.
  • Ensures IC payouts are in line with approved IC plans and corresponding payout schedules are met.
  • Ensures changes of IC components are incorporated in corresponding POA IC documents and are disseminated to the sales team in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Ensures POA alignments are updated in all relevant systems.

Goals:


  • Manages the technical implementation of the sales force incentive plan including by working with integrated team (SLT, IT, HR, etc) in order to ensure completion within established timelines and company expectations.
  • Assist in alignment/targeting projects by providing relevant inputs when required within established timelines that meet departmental objectives.

Education (Minimum Requirements):


  • University degree, preferably in Business, Engineering or Sciences is required.

Experience (Minimum Requirements):


  • Expertise gained through a minimum of 35 years' experience as a sale and/or market research analyst in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience working with IMS/Brogan data and CRM system is a must.
  • A high degree of technical aptitude is required, with advanced knowledge Excel (VBA, Access, etc.) and understanding of relational databases
  • Good understanding of sales territory design

  • Office environment. Individual must have the ability to work independently and in teams in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The individual will have to maximize the effective use of their time in order to execute their role in the face of changing and often competing priorities

Interpersonal Skills/Competencies:
High attention to detail and strong logical reasoning skills is required for this position. Well-developed inter-personal skills and ability to work well within teams is mandatory.

Proven, effective project management skills with the ability to lead and collaborate with internal and external partners toward the achievement of common goals.
