The Opportunity
Are you passionate about data and how it can drive business decisions? Do you have experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver data products that solve customer problems? If so, we want you to join our team as a Manager for Data Service Delivery


How you will make an impact
You will be responsible for guiding the development and management of data-centric products and integrations that leverage our organization's data assets to create value for our customers and business:


  • _Implementation:_ Lead the adoption and continuous improvement of agile practices within the data product development team, ensuring a smooth workflow and efficient delivery.

Product Strategy:

_ Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for data-related products, aligning them with business objectives and customer needs.

Board Management:
_
Create and maintain agile boards and points scoring to visualize work, track progress, and manage work items effectively.

Work Item Prioritization:
_
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize work items based on business value, customer impact, and dependencies.

Flow Optimization:

_ Monitor and optimize the flow of work through the agile system, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions for continuous improvement.

Data Expertise:

_ Leverage a deep understanding of data management, analytics, and technology to guide data product development and ensure data quality and relevance.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
_
Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, designers, and business stakeholders to align product development with strategic goals.

Data Governance:
_
Oversee data governance practices within the data product team, ensuring data privacy, security, and compliance.

  • Centric Focus:_ Prioritize user needs and feedback to enhance data products, creating user friendly and valuable solutions.

_KPI Tracking:_ Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to agile and data product success, making data-driven decisions.


What you will bring to TVO

  • Minimum of seven years of related experience (preferably in education & media).
  • Experience in research and analysis
  • Experience in digital product development and management
  • Substantial experience in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, project management, statistics, or related field.
  • Detailed knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Experience with social media measurement software.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases including SQL, mySQL and NoSQL
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following specialty areas is an advantage: Digital Product Development, MySQL, big data sets, R, Tableau, SWOT analyses, conjoint analysis.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and presentation experience.
  • A highly motivated team player, organized, strategic thinker and passionate about the education and media industries.
