AECOM's Buildings + Places is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to join our team. This position is based out of Ottawa.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists the Project Management team with management administration on a small to moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a larger, more complex project, following set guidelines for tasks.
  • Employee receives clear and specific instructions and/or follows standardized instructions or procedures without ongoing supervision. Work is checked for accuracy, adequacy and adherence to instructions. Employee consults with supervisor on matters not covered in the original instructions.
  • May interface with design team.
  • May work closely with BIM team and use modelling software.
  • May assist with and monitor change orders
  • May assist with and review financial reporting
  • Reviews project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract
  • Works with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow uptodate and accurate.
  • Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements**:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • University education in Engineering, Finance,, Business, or Economics with applicable further development in Project Management would be preferred.
  • 2 years of relatable experience.

Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation in Ottawa will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $53K - $91K.
