Summary:


Energy Crane Service is seeking a Mobile Crane Field Technician We are seeking a dynamic and motivated team player to perform essential duties in a professional and timely manner.

As part of our service team, you will take ownership of ensuring safe, effective, organized, and professional crane performance.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrated experience with Mobile Crane equipment is essential.
  • Prioritize operational efficiencies and overall end user satisfaction by promptly completing field service tasks.
  • Assume responsibility for all aspects of assigned field service calls, including but not limited to:
  • Servicing Cranes, including fluid checks, sample pulling, oil and filter checks, lubrication, and greasing.
  • Proactively engaging with Operators to identify machine faults accurately.
  • Timely and precise diagnosis and repair, including connecting and diagnosing fault codes using computer systems.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, and diagnose cranes and transport equipment, resolving moderate to complex issues.
  • Accurate ordering of required parts, along with diligent followup to ensure timely receipt for service completion.
  • Submit precise and punctual service reports, including time cards.
  • Maintain and care for assigned service vehicle and tools.
  • Work with other technicians and assist/mentor apprentices
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain CVOR logbooks.
  • Maintain transparent and frequent communication with dispatch and office.
  • Work focused on all field service inquiries

  • Exemplary customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong written and oral communication proficiency
  • Strong ability with advanced electrical and hydraulic diagnostics, schematic reading and understanding.
  • Experience with Liebherr and Tadano cranes would be a benefit.
  • Excellent time management capabilities.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, computer tools, multi meters, torches, welding equipment, air tools, etc.
  • While primarily based in the assigned territory (field environment), occasional travel to other branch locations.
  • Willingness to engage in and successfully complete required training/safety programs.

Education/Training/ Desired Skills:


  • Licensed Heavy Equipment Certification with Red Seal.
  • Previous field experience would be an asset.
  • Commercial Inspection (CVIP) License would be an asset.
  • Possess a class 5 license with a clean driver's abstract.

$45.00-$70.00 per hour
