What you will do
At JUDI, the BDR is responsible for outbound prospecting efforts targeting senior lending executives at U.S. banks and credit unions. Your primary success metric will be handing off qualified prospects who are interested in a conversation to Sales.
Your primary responsibilities
- Where applicable, research accounts and prospects to help tailor messaging appropriately.
- Follow a prescribed sales methodology to validate business challenges and generate interest/intent.
- Generate and schedule introductory discovery calls with Sales using a prescribed handoff process.
- Sit in on discovery calls between Sales and prospects.
- Collaborate with Marketing to nurture cold and existing leads into inmarket leads.
- Participate in regular campaign reviews and coaching sessions in the pursuit of continuous performance improvement.
Your qualifications and ideal attributes
- 1+ years of previous business/sales development experience in a B2B technology/SaaS environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate relevant information in a simple and compelling way
- A key success factor with this role is proficiency with outbound calling we are a phonefirst shop
- A persistent, processoriented and coachable mindset a successful BDR is a selfstarter, a problem solver, ambitious, confident, organized, independent and competitive
- Insatiable curiosity a true interest in trying new things, asking thoughtful questions and active listening
- With the right support, you're not afraid of holding court with senior banking executives you're helping to solve a significant problem
- Ability to figure it out and help build processes in a fastmoving startup environment
- A funloving, easygoing temperament
It's a bonus if you have...
- Previous experience in fintech, banking and/or lending experience with financial institutions (credit unions, banks, alternative lenders)
- Experience with technology solutions for small businesses
- Experience with technology solutions with longer sales cycles and larger buyer groups
- Exposure to formal sales training and sales methodologies
