We are looking for a Scalehouse Clerk for a Maternity Leave Contract at our Walker Aggregates Division - Grey-Bruce location.

Scale House Clerk

Ideally, you have the following qualifications:

Experience in a customer service / dispatch role
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
Keen attention to detail
Comfortable working in a variety of different settings
Willing and able to work some Saturdays
Willing to travel to the various site in the Barrie area, as needed
Must have a valid driver's license with clean drivers abstract

Practical Details

Weighs and documents each truck leaving the quarry to ensure that loads are correct and do not violate safety transportation regulations
Receives payments by cheque, debit and credit cards and completes appropriate documentation to ensure records, orders and cash receipts balance
Operates a three way radio system to communicate with various colleagues at the quarry and assist in the smooth running of quarry operations
Opens and closes the scale house to ensure systems such as computers, security etc., are operating correctly
