We are looking for a Scalehouse Clerk for a Maternity Leave Contract at our Walker Aggregates Division - Grey-Bruce location.


Scale House Clerk

Ideally, you have the following qualifications:

  • Experience in a customer service / dispatch role
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a variety of different settings
  • Willing and able to work some Saturdays
  • Willing to travel to the various site in the Barrie area, as needed
  • Must have a valid driver's license with clean drivers abstract

Practical Details

  • Weighs and documents each truck leaving the quarry to ensure that loads are correct and do not violate safety transportation regulations
  • Receives payments by cheque, debit and credit cards and completes appropriate documentation to ensure records, orders and cash receipts balance
  • Operates a three way radio system to communicate with various colleagues at the quarry and assist in the smooth running of quarry operations
  • Opens and closes the scale house to ensure systems such as computers, security etc., are operating correctly
